Ringo is 10 months old. He is said to be a purebred schnauzer. He is a puppy mill dog. Sure he is cute but at 10 months old he should know how to be a dog. He should know how to trust people, listen to directions and have some basics down. Well he is just now learning all of that. Why? When you are a puppy mill dog you don't learn anything because they don't care about that part. They just bred the dogs and sell them to stores. It's that simply. Then someone goes to a store, sees the cute dog in the window and shells out major bucks for a purebred. When that dog gets home, it's anxious, terrified, undersocialized and has no skills. Most people are unprepared for that and then the dogs come to us to be "fixed". How sad is that? Right now, this cutie is learning how to be a dog. He has separation anxiety, he doesn't know how to play and he is just learning potty training. One day he'll be ready. Right now, we are again picking up the pieces that others left behind.
